After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Anthony Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardea FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Ottaviani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Ardea FC's Emiliano Ferraresi got a free kick in the 20th minute. A hard shot by Corrado Giandomenico from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Concetto Rigoni's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Ardea FC booed when Pontenure was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amedeo Cremonese didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthony Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Macchia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Concetto Rigoni came out and tried to block the shot, but Corrado Macchia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. 38 minutes in the game, Corrado Macchia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Concetto Rigoni having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Ardea FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Mazzei. Dave Guidone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Macchia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A very good chance. 48 minutes in the game, Corrado Macchia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Concetto Rigoni having to interfere.

The wind increased when Corrado Macchia made the kick off in the second half. Emanuele Frezza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Ottaviani. Pontenure's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 59th minute Dave Guidone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Rigoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Barillari in the 62nd minute of play forced Pontenure's goalkeeper Bernardo Ottaviani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
