Alessio Del Greco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Ottaviani having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Macchia in the 8th minute of play forced Savignano A Mare's goalkeeper Claudio Tocci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Guidone in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claudio Tocci, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Andrea Marcon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Ottaviani having to interfere. In the 24th minute Corrado Macchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Tocci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Guidone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Tocci having to interfere. Claudio Tocci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Guidone in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Corrado Macchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Tocci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Alessio Del Greco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pontenure's Bernardo Ottaviani. Bernardo Ottaviani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardo Ottaviani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Del Greco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pontenure players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Savignano A Mare were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Alessio Del Greco made the kick off in the second half. Andrea Marcon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Bernardo Ottaviani made a huge save. After 62 minutes, Dave Iannucci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontenure and the Savignano A Mare players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dave Iannucci hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Savignano A Mare's Andrea Marcon got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corrado Macchia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corrado Macchia in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Tocci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Corrado Macchia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Claudio Tocci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessio Del Greco struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Bernardo Ottaviani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Savignano A Mare. Savignano A Mare's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
