If Eugenio Ferraris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Ferraris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmine Santangelo having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Eugenio Ferraris fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eugenio Ferraris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Rizzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesare Di Renzo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When Eugenio Cugini came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Iolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Cugini couldn't finish the play. After having played for 32 minutes, Cesare Di Renzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iolo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesare Di Renzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anselmo Eleuteri hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Eugenio Cugini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cesare Di Renzo sped through Calvari's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Donato Rizzo. After having played for 46 minutes, Dennis Castagna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calvari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Castagna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Cugini made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Calvari's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Cugini came free, but Donato Rizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmine Santangelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Castagna, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Eugenio Cugini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmine Santangelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Castagna in the 89th minute of play. When Bruno Marini came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Iolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Marini couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Calvari got a freekick which was hit by Florian Melone. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Iolo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
