The referee ignored Sappanico's protests and gave Achille Carnevale a yellow card for diving instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrico Colombi made a kick off. Carlo Calcio made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alessandro Conforti sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd minute, one of Sappanico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sappanico. The referee gave Asti AFC a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carmine Stella, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sappanico's Carlo Calcio. 0-1. Alessandro Conforti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Carlo Calcio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asti AFC's Alexander Cirone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Colombi in the 61st minute of play. Damiano Giolo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Davide Colecchia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Enrico Colombi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 82nd minute of the match Aldo Di Persio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aldo Di Persio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aldo Di Persio hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Alessandro Conforti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Calcio having to interfere.
