Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Biagio Preda started the match with the kick off. Concetto Di Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domenico Bianchi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Antonello De Feo made a huge save. The supporters of Catese booed when Graveglia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvise Fiordelisi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Catese's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Caroselli came free, but Augusto Malvezzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Catese getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Elia Costacurta hit a great ball. Biagio Preda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Malvezzi having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Catese got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Furino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Caroselli in the 21st minute of play forced Catese's goalkeeper Augusto Malvezzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Caroselli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Augusto Malvezzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Graveglia FC's Biagio Preda made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Malvezzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Cesare Scandella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catese's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Graveglia FC the free kick. Alfredo Caroselli struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Augusto Malvezzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Graveglia FC. Alfredo Caroselli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Malvezzi having to make a save. Fedele Furino's late challenge caught a Graveglia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fedele Furino helped the player get up and apologised. Fedele Furino hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Domenico Bianchi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catese's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenico Bianchi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonello De Feo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Domenico Bianchis short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Antonello De Feo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alfredo Caroselli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Catese players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Graveglia FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Concetto Di Santo to strike the kick off in the second half. Antonello De Feo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Di Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Biagio Preda might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Malvezzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Biagio Preda ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Bianchi in the 66th minute of play forced Graveglia FC's goalkeeper Antonello De Feo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Malvezzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Biagio Preda in the 71st minute of the match. Augusto Malvezzi was a little too slow when Alfredo Caroselli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-2. Antonello De Feo came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Catese's Concetto Di Santo. But to his dismay, Concetto Di Santo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Concetto Di Santo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Antonello De Feo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catese. Concetto Di Santo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonello De Feo having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Domenico Bianchi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonello De Feo was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Concetto Di Santo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonello De Feo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Concetto Di Santo ran back to his position shaking his head. Graveglia FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
