The audience was convinced that Ettore Iacovella's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Molinario was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Ceccarelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabio Sasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Lusi having to interfere. The supporters of Riva Verde booed when Nichelino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Zinni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davide Panza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabiano Molinario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Riva Verde's Fabiano Molinario threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Franco Ceccarelli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 73rd minute, Filippo Zarrella made a precise shot to the right of Arrigo Lusi. Riva Verde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.
