Ferdinando Di Meo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fabrizio Polidori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Fulvio Gerosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bianco Monaco in the 40th minute of play forced Peseggia AFC's goalkeeper Fabrizio Polidori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo De Francesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Fata having to interfere. The supporters of Peseggia AFC booed when Lavagna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Passalacqua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlo Fata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo De Francesco in the 45th minute of the match. Attilio Fantozzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Fata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bianco Monaco made a kick off. Enzo De Francesco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlo Fata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Fantozzi in the 75th minute of play. Lavagna AFC's Carlo Fata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Lavagna AFC from getting a goal against them. Fabrizio Polidori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Di Meo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
