When Camillo Chitarroni came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Dercogna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camillo Chitarroni couldn't finish the play. If Camillo Chitarroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Castelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Giampietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Camillo Chitarroni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dercogna AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Chitarroni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Castelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ennio Giampietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Castelli having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Marocchi's zone, Camillo Chitarroni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Castelli came out of the goal and Camillo Chitarroni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ettore Palmieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Domenico Benvenuto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ettore Palmieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ennio Giampietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Castelli having to interfere.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Bearzot in the 51st minute of play forced Marocchi's goalkeeper Alvaro Castelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camillo Chitarroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Castelli having to interfere. Domenico Benvenuto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Palmieri in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Bianco Silvi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Dercogna AFC's Domenico Benvenuto. Domenico Benvenuto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Camillo Chitarroni struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Alvaro Castelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dercogna AFC. 67 minutes into the match, Marocchi's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Chitarroni came free, but Alvaro Castelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano Ferrini hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Ettore Palmieri came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Marocchi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Palmieri couldn't finish the play. Marocchi's Bianco Silvi got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bianco Silvi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domenico Benvenuto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bianco Silvi in the 89th minute of the match. Domenico Benvenuto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Palmieri in the 90th minute of play.
