The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 38thth minute of the game Fortunato Riccardi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Incirano's Ercole Catapano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ermanno Del Grosso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Catapano having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 54thth minute of the game Fulvio Carnevale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Chiaffreddo FC's Arrigo Di Matteo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Incirano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Chiaffreddo FC the free kick. The supporters of San Chiaffreddo FC booed when Incirano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Paolini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Incirano's Cristiano Latini got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ercole Catapano was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fortunato Federici. Fulvio Carnevale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 87 minutes, Alessio Musacchio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Incirano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessio Musacchio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Alessio Musacchio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched San Chiaffreddo FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
