Demetrio Paganelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demetrio Paganelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Pagliuca, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Alvise Cerasoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Enrico Napoleone got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Durazzanino FC's goalkeeper Demetrio Paganelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Durazzanino FC's Amedeo Porcu got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Daniele Pagliuca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basiglio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniele Pagliuca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demetrio Paganelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrico Napoleone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demetrio Formica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniele Pagliuca to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Durazzanino FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Ferraresi. In the 53rd minute Enrico Napoleone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Finocchio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Daniele Pagliuca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Demetrio Paganelli. Durazzanino FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniele Pagliuca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Basiglio FC's zone, Enrico Napoleone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Finocchio came out of the goal and Enrico Napoleone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes in the game, Anthony De Leonardis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Demetrio Paganelli having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fedele Ferraresi during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Durazzanino FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Ferraresi. With 68 minutes on the clock, Alessio Colaneri commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 68 minutes into the game, one of Durazzanino FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Durazzanino FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Basiglio FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Basiglio FC.
