Monreale AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Panino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adriano Conti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franco Caiola was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vicarello's Amos Maranzano got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franco Caiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Conti having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Monreale AFC's Franco Caiola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adriano Conti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Della Rocca during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Monreale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Della Rocca. Adriano Conti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Caiola in the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Franco Caiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Conti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Demaria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Caiola to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberto Miconi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amos Maranzano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 55 minute of play. Franco Caiola struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Adriano Conti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monreale AFC. 70 minutes into the match, Ennio Barone notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Vicarello's Adriano Conti. Adriano Conti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The nice shot from Alberto Demaria in the 75thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alberto Miconi had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Achille Pari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alberto Miconi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alberto Demaria came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Vicarello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Demaria couldn't finish the play. Vicarello's Amos Maranzano got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferruccio Panino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Conti having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Vicarello's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Caiola came free, but Adriano Conti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Vicarello's Alberto Demaria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Miconi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amos Maranzano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Maranzano in the 94th minute of play forced Monreale AFC's goalkeeper Alberto Miconi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amos Maranzano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vicarello players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
