Mottella FC's Diego Cinque got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Damiano De Filippo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Ferrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Cinque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Alberigo Bertolini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cosimo Lo Iacono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Augusto Ferrini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Confreria's zone, Diego Cinque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Ferrini came out of the goal and Diego Cinque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Amicone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Lo Iacono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Cinque in the 33rd minute of play forced Confreria's goalkeeper Augusto Ferrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Ferrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Maia in the 34th minute of play. Mottella FC's Fortunato Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augusto Ferrini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Cinque in the 43rd minute of the match. Beppe Cirelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Amicone having to interfere. Cosimo Lo Iacono blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fortunato Amicone having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cosimo Lo Iacono stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Biagio Tabacco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Arturo Maldini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Ferrini. Confreria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cosimo Lo Iacono struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Fortunato Amicone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Confreria. Fortunato Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Ferrini having to interfere. Confreria's Augusto Ferrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Maia in the 65th minute of play. Fortunato Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Augusto Ferrini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Cinque got free with Augusto Ferrini in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Cinque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Augusto Ferrini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cosimo Lo Iacono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Fortunato Amicone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberigo Bertolini hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Ernesto Battista kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Fortunato Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Confreria's Ernesto Vieri got a free kick in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Beppe Cirelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Confreria's supporters rose to their feet, but Beppe Cirelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fortunato Amicone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beppe Cirelli in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunato Amicone saved Mottella FC from getting behind. In the 96th minute Cosimo Lo Iacono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Amicone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
