Dennis Mazzola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Alvaro De Nardis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, Legnano FC's Fabiano Di Campli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Di Pietro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. San Chiaffreddo's Cristoforo Di Pietro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Di Campli in the 7th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Dario Melis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legnano FC and the San Chiaffreddo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Legnano FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dario Melis hit a great ball. Fabiano Di Campli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cristoforo Di Pietro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristoforo Di Pietro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Andreola in the 19th minute of the match. Fabiano Di Campli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Legnano FC's Aldo Sammartano got a free kick in the 30th minute. Legnano FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Ciccio Di Pasquale scored to the left of an out of position Alvaro De Nardis, making the score, 1-0. Fabiano Di Campli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cristoforo Di Pietro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro De Nardis made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Dennis Mazzola sent off a good shot on target. Corrado Luongo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciccio Di Pasquale to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Legnano FC's Cristoforo Di Pietro threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Domenico Andreola, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Corrado Luongo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Fabiano Di Camplis short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Cristoforo Di Pietro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ciccio Di Pasquale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro De Nardis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Legnano FC's Dario Melis got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Dennis Mazzola managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Chiaffreddo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Mazzola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro De Nardis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Legnano FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Aldo Sammartano hit a great ball. After 73 played minutes, San Chiaffreddo's Armando Zacchia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvaro De Nardis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Chiaffreddo reached it. San Chiaffreddo's Cristoforo Di Pietro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Andreola in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Chiaffreddo's goalkeeper Cristoforo Di Pietro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When San Chiaffreddo's Ciccio Di Pasquale in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legnano FC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Domenico Andreola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Legnano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Andreola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fabiano Di Campli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to San Chiaffreddo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Daniele Petito hit a great ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Domenico Andreola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Chiaffreddo's Cristoforo Di Pietro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domenico Andreola was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Legnano FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
