Alfonso Marsilio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 10 played minutes Murelle Vechia got a freekick which was hit by Alex Gori. 12 minutes into the match, Murelle Vechia's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Salomone came free, but Alfonso Marsilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Alex Gori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Murelle Vechia's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Epifani came free, but Alfonso Marsilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beppe Salomone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Marsilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo De Sisti in the 21st minute of play. Campania FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Murelle Vechia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Camillo De Sisti took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Alessandro Macchione advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 22nd minute. Camillo De Sisti took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Marsilio. Alfonso Marsilio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The audience was convinced that Camillo De Sisti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Marsilio was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Epifani in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Marsilio saved Murelle Vechia from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Carlo Epifani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfonso Marsilio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Alfonso Marsilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo De Sisti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlo Epifani in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Marsilio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Monzeglio during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Murelle Vechia got a freekick which was hit by Franco Monzeglio. Beppe Salomone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Marsilio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Campania FC were furious when Davide Prisco was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Murelle Vechia. Aurelio Paganelli stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dennis Toninelli. 1-4. With a little luck, Murelle Vechia's Alfonso Marsilio got control of the ball when Beppe Salomone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beppe Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Alfonso Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beppe Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Marsilio having to interfere. When Beppe Salomone came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Campania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Salomone couldn't finish the play. In the 69th play minute Cristiano Pellecchia came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alfonso Marsilio. 1-5. Campania FC's Cristiano Pellecchia got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Disastro in the 76th minute of play forced Murelle Vechia's goalkeeper Alfonso Marsilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Murelle Vechia's goalkeeper Alfonso Marsilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beppe Salomone. Alfonso Marsilio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlo Epifani in the 84th minute. If Cristiano Pellecchia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beppe Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Marsilio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Beppe Salomone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campania FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beppe Salomone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Marsilio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the game, Carter Feltrin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Dennis Toninelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Murelle Vechia getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ernesto Valcareggi hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Campania FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Murelle Vechia.
