Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emiliano Marrone started the match with the kick off. After 9 played minutes Sasso Marconi FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Aversa. 14 minutes into the game, Alberto Sanna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marnate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sasso Marconi FC the free kick. In the 14th minute, Alberto Sanna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anfilogino Zara hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Antonello Vieri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ercole Feltrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Piccirilli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmondo Baggio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Sanna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sasso Marconi FC's Edmondo Baggio got control of the ball when Bernardo Piccirilli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aldo Gambini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Marrone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Marnate's zone, Ercole Feltrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Gambini came out of the goal and Ercole Feltrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Amedeo Paolini made the kick off in the second half. Edmondo Baggio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Piccirilli, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Amedeo Paolini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armin Delle Donne hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Amedeo Paolini came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Marnate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Paolini couldn't finish the play. When Sasso Marconi FC's Emiliano Marrone in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marnate's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Ercole Feltrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sasso Marconi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Feltrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marnate's Bernardo Piccirilli got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marnate's Amedeo Paolini in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sasso Marconi FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Marnate's zone, Emiliano Marrone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Gambini came out of the goal and Emiliano Marrone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Gambini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ercole Feltrin in the 75th minute. Alessandro Aversa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alberto Sanna was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. After 84 played minutes Marnate got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Sanna. Ercole Feltrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Alessandro Aversa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sasso Marconi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro Aversa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Gambini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmondo Baggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Piccirilli in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Marnate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ercole Feltrin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marnate were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sasso Marconi FC for a fine match.
