The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Marrone made a kick off. The supporters of Sasso Marconi FC booed when Gambulaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Fontanive didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sasso Marconi FC's Antonello Vieri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gambulaga FC. When Emiliano Marrone came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Sasso Marconi FC fans jumped to their feet. Dino Lenci charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Lenci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gambulaga FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dino Lenci hit a great ball. When Ettore Addari fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gambulaga FC's protests and gave Ettore Addari a yellow card for diving instead. When Emiliano Marrone came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Sasso Marconi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Marrone couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Fabiano Trombetta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gambulaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Trombetta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute of the match, Emiliano Marrone tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Felice De Feo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 97 minutes into the match, Gambulaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Marrone came free, but Felice De Feo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gambulaga FC had won after a very even match.
