Corrado Fanfarone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Attilio Allegretti went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of SS Milazzo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cordova:s goal. The referee gave Cordova a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fulvio Alberico, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SS Milazzo's Daniele Giacchetti. 1-3. Carter Di Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes Cordova got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Mascia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Scrima in the 33rd minute of play forced Cordova's goalkeeper Corrado Fanfarone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordova's Corrado Fanfarone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Allegretti in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Felice Scrima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SS Milazzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Corrado Fanfarone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felice Scrima in the 39th minute of play. Corrado Fanfarone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Iacobucci in the 45th minute of the match. Cordova's Corrado Fanfarone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Attilio Allegretti in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Cassone made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Attilio Allegretti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 54 minutes into the match, Attilio Allegretti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Corrado Fanfarone, 1-5. Daniele Giacchetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Cassone in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carter Di Donato in the 59th minute of play forced SS Milazzo's goalkeeper Daniele Giacchetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ennio Antico hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Fortunato Iacobucci came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SS Milazzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fortunato Iacobucci couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Allegretti got free with Corrado Fanfarone in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes into the match, Cordova's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Santone came free, but Corrado Fanfarone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Cordova got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Ottavi. Corrado Fanfarone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Piccoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carter Di Donato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniele Giacchetti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Cordova's Corrado Fanfarone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Cordova from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the game, SS Milazzo's Attilio Allegretti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corrado Fanfarone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. In the 89th minute, Carlo De Iuliis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Cordova:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SS Milazzo:s goal. When the match was over SS Milazzo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cordova throughout the match.
