Damiano Prosperi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Preda having to interfere. Filippo Natale struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Antonello Colella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Collegara. Damiano Prosperi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Preda having to interfere. With splendid footwork Daniele Gianfrancesco arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 14th minute. When Demetrio Del Monte fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marchesino's protests and gave Demetrio Del Monte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Demetrio Del Monte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francesco Preda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Gianfrancesco in the 24th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Collegara's Ennio Marcolongo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonello Colella was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute, Alessio Tenaglia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ennio Marcolongo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Collegara's supporters rose to their feet, but Ennio Marcolongo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonello Colella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alessio Tenaglia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Marchesino's Daniele Gianfrancesco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francesco Preda. Francesco Preda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 47th minute, Daniele Gianfrancesco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessio Tenaglia to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Marchesino's zone, Ennio Marcolongo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Colella came out of the goal and Ennio Marcolongo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniele Gianfrancesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Marchesino's Antonello Colella got control of the ball when Ennio Marcolongo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniele Gianfrancesco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damiano Prosperi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Francesco Preda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Boninsegna's late challenge caught a Collegara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Boninsegna helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marchesino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Collegara's Alvise Teodori got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Antonello Colella. If Ennio Marcolongo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Preda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Prosperi in the 97th minute of play. Ennio Marcolongo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Antonello Colella made a huge save. Marchesino's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
