The supporters of Pontoncello AFC booed when Audace Sanvito Empolitana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Ferraris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Audace Sanvito Empolitana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Biagio Pallini scored to the left of an out of position Teofan Madev, making the score, 1-1. Biagio Pallini came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teofan Madev could save by the left post. After 29 minutes, Amedeo Imperiale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Audace Sanvito Empolitana and the Pontoncello AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Biagio Pallini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cristoforo Colantonio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Audace Sanvito Empolitana's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristoforo Colantonio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armin Corsi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Biagio Pallini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Teofan Madev made a huge save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Teofan Madev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Pallini, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Dave Silveri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Armin Corsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biagio Pallini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Maio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armin Corsi. Pontoncello AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pontoncello AFC's zone, Cristoforo Colantonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armin Corsi came out of the goal and Cristoforo Colantonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cristoforo Colantonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dave Silveri came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Audace Sanvito Empolitana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Silveri couldn't finish the play. Dave Silveri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 77th minute, but Armin Corsi got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Pontoncello AFC hanging dry this time. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
