The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvise De Sanctis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camillo Pellecchia, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Dario Margoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Recetto getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Achille Abbagnale hit a great ball. Christian Leopardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio De Carolis having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Ciro Nobili cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alvise De Sanctis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Dario Margoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute Dario Margoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio De Carolis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Camillo Pellecchia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luvinate's supporters rose to their feet, but Camillo Pellecchia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise De Sanctis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Luvinate's Ciro Nobili nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvise De Sanctis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 75th minute Dario Margoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio De Carolis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Leopardi in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulvio De Carolis saved Luvinate from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Alvise De Sanctis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Concetto Cauli fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recetto's protests and gave Concetto Cauli a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Recetto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Luvinate:s goal. Emiliano Aquilino never hesitated and kicked 0-4 on penalty. The supporters of Luvinate booed when Recetto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Pilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Recetto's goalkeeper Alvise De Sanctis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Nobili. 93 minutes into the game, Fausto Di Battista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luvinate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Recetto the free kick. Recetto's Angelo Pilla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Luvinate. When Dario Sessa fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luvinate's protests and gave Dario Sessa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Luvinate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Sessa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Margoni in the 99th minute of play forced Luvinate's goalkeeper Fulvio De Carolis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Luvinate players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
