Casinazzo FC's Fabio Maccarone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Capone in the 10th minute of play. When Ermanno Mazzei came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sambatello FC fans jumped to their feet. Sambatello FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Christian Proietto scored to the left of an out of position Cristiano Muciaccia, making the score, 1-1. Christian Proietto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Muciaccia having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Casinazzo FC's Comunardo Selvi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Muciaccia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Comunardo Selvi scored 3-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Muciaccia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Proietto was the one to do the kick off. Augusto Salerno missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 60 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Cristiano Muciaccia right hand side. The audience was convinced that Comunardo Selvi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Muciaccia was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Comunardo Selvi in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Muciaccia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ermanno Mazzei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
