The supporters of Assago booed when Geo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Mei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corrado Mei hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes Geo got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Di Filippo. In the 35th match minute, Geo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Lorenzi to maneuver through the defense. Antonello Lorenzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Adriano Capobianco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anfilogino Chioda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Loreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Chioda in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anfilogino Chioda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Alfredo Vago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Donato Loreto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 55 played minutes Geo got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Di Filippo. Alfredo Vago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ennio Bondi during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabio Di Filippo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Corrado Mei hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Corrado Mei fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geo's protests and gave Corrado Mei a yellow card for diving instead. Corrado Mei kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Corrado Mei was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. When Assago's Anfilogino Chioda in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Geo's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute, Anfilogino Chioda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Loreto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Donato Loreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Chioda in the 87th minute of the match. After 91 minutes of play Geo's Ennio Bondi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ennio Bondi hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Anfilogino Chioda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Loreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Geo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Assago.
