Solarolo's Ennio Facchetti got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Lizzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Facchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Daniele Fulgenzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Lizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Solarolo's Ennio Facchetti in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varedo AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Filippo Fino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute Ennio Facchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Lizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Lizzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Facchetti in the 38th minute of play. Daniele Fulgenzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Solarolo's Daniele Fulgenzi in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varedo AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Alberigo Rondinelli's late challenge caught a Solarolo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberigo Rondinelli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Solarolo. Fausto Bisegna stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Armando Lizzi. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniele Fulgenzi made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Flavio Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varedo AFC and the Solarolo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Varedo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Valente. After having played for 54 minutes, Daniele Fulgenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solarolo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Fulgenzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Solarolo's Daniele Fulgenzi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Lizzi. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. After 61 minutes, Filippo Fino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varedo AFC and the Solarolo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Solarolo booed when Varedo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Fino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Bisegna hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Solarolo's Ennio Facchetti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Lizzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Armando Lizzi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 74th minute, Ennio Facchetti made a precise shot to the right of Armando Lizzi. Varedo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If Daniele Fulgenzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Ennio Facchetti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Solarolo's zone, Flavio Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bianco Curti came out of the goal and Flavio Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Solarolo getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Alberigo Bonsignore hit a great ball. Frank Nazzari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
