Adriano Bonsignore took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eraldo Guerini. Eraldo Guerini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ercole Basile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Damiano Finocchi made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, Emiliano Graziano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valleambrosia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samarate the free kick. After 17 played minutes Valleambrosia got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Graziano. Eraldo Guerini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Giancristofaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eraldo Guerini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Bonsignore went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Damiano Finocchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ercole Basile's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 32nd minute, Franco Perilli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samarate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Claudio Orioli scored to the left of an out of position Damiano Finocchi, making the score, 1-2. Eraldo Guerini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Giancristofaro in the 38th minute of play. Eraldo Guerini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Giancristofaro's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Claudio Orioli might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damiano Finocchi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Orioli ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Giancristofaro was the one to do the kick off. If Eugenio Garofoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ercole Basile blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damiano Finocchi having to make a save. The supporters of Valleambrosia booed when Samarate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Iacobucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 minutes of play Valleambrosia's Emiliano Graziano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 56th match minute, Valleambrosia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Graziano to maneuver through the defense.
