After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Antonio Pierucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magnago AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Pierucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Santucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Corelli in the 8th minute of play forced Montagnola FC's goalkeeper Diego Santucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Santucci made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Antonio Pierucci sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Quattrocchi in the 14th minute of play forced Magnago AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Formaggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Antonio Pierucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magnago AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Pierucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Magnago AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alessio Sanna hit a great ball. Fortunato Mauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Formaggio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Antonio Quattrocchi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alfonso Formaggio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonso Formaggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Quattrocchi in the 34th minute of play. Anthony Del Monte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Montagnola FC's goalkeeper Diego Santucci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Pierucci. The Magnago AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montagnola FC were winning 0-1.

Montagnola FC's Diego Santucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Pierucci in the 53rd minute of play. In the 60th minute Antonio Quattrocchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Formaggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match Eraldo Di Rado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Formaggio skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th match minute, Montagnola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Treglia to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Anthony Del Monte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magnago AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eraldo Porcu during the 72nd minute. The supporters of Magnago AFC booed when Montagnola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Lo Iacono didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Pierucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Santucci having to interfere. Eraldo Di Rado hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Alvaro Meazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, Magnago AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
