Alberto Treglia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Bonanni, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Enzo Grossi sped through Montagnola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvaro Borgatello. Fausto Arcangeli hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Enzo Grossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Eraldo Danza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edoardo Volpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alvaro Borgatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edoardo Volpe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Edoardo Volpe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Augusto Ottavi fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montagnola's protests and gave Augusto Ottavi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Montagnola getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Augusto Ottavi hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Grossi got free with Alvaro Borgatello in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Enzo Grossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Montagnola's Eraldo Danza got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmondo Silvestre during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Malpaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Silvestre to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Montagnola's Alberto Fioriti broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alberto Treglia came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Montagnola's Frank Catini. But to his dismay, Frank Catini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Frank Catini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Alberto Treglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
