After 13 played minutes Alpignano got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Boldrini. Enzo Melone hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When Achille Di Battista was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. Enzo Paoletti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Alpignano getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Amerigo Scivittaro hit a great ball. Enzo Paoletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennio Teodori having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Trevisani to make the kick off. Ennio Teodori had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Fausto Trevisani from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Enzo Paoletti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ennio Teodori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Paoletti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ennio Teodori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Oliveto FC's Corrado Anastasi got a free kick in the 71st minute. The long shot by Cesare Talone in the 72nd minute really tested Ennio Teodori's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Mazzetti in the 73rd minute of play forced Alpignano's goalkeeper Fabrizio Limitone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Paoletti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ennio Teodori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Federico Mazzetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oliveto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Mazzetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alpignano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
