Alberigo Bolognini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Del Monaco hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Cosimo Caccia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Carmine Rucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Carmine Rucci throw himself and got hold of the ball when Concetto Vanni in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to Sgonico getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Fedele Domina hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Capolago FC's Carmine Rucci threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Concetto Vanni, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner ended in Francesco Pietrini almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sgonico's Carmine Rucci did a great save. Achille Martini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Monticelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sgonico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Fedele Domina hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sgonico's Carlo Del Grosso got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Alberigo Bolognini came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sgonico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Bolognini couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Ferruccio Monticelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Martini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Beppe Giusti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biagio Nanni shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Frank Del Monaco kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Capolago FC's Ennio Valletta got a free kick in the 44th minute. Domenico Rinaldi's late challenge caught a Sgonico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domenico Rinaldi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sgonico booed when Capolago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Rinaldi didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferruccio Monticelli was the one to do the kick off. Cosimo Caccia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmine Rucci having to interfere. Ferruccio Monticelli struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Achille Martini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sgonico. Alberigo Bolognini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Martini having to interfere. Capolago FC's Concetto Vanni got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosimo Caccia might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmine Rucci. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosimo Caccia ran back to his position shaking his head. Carmine Rucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Concetto Vanni's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Sgonico's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Caccia came free, but Carmine Rucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberigo Bologninis short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Achille Martini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Sgonico fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Sgonico's Alberigo Bolognini looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Capolago FC's Achille Martini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Capolago FC from getting a goal against them. Achille Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Monticelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Alberigo Bolognini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferruccio Monticelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Sgonico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Capolago FC.
