Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Davide Chiola took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Mezzana FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Fortunato Maldini hit a great ball. Frank Lampa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Zollino in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Camillo Giannantonio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Lampa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Enrico Rotili shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Lampa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arturo Zollino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabiano Baur struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Frank Lampa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerreto Alto. Davide Chiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Frank Lampa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Fabiano Baur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fortunato Maldini was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Mezzana FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alvaro Valletta hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Davide Chiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Frank Lampa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Lampa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Zollino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fortunato Maldini made a kick off. If Alvaro Valletta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mezzana FC's zone, Fabiano Baur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Lampa came out of the goal and Fabiano Baur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arturo Zollino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 61st playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Cerreto Alto's zone, Fortunato Maldini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Bencivenni came out of the goal and Fortunato Maldini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Fortunato Maldini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mezzana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Maldini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Fabiano Baur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Zollino struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Frank Lampa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerreto Alto. If Davide Chiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cerreto Alto's Arturo Zollino got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corrado Campana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fortunato Maldini in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Attilio Bencivenni saved Cerreto Alto from getting behind. Cerreto Alto played a much better game than Mezzana FC and deserved their victory. The Mezzana FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
