Christian Urbani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Capodichino's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo De Palma came free, but Fabio Manzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costabissara's Christian Urbani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Coscarella in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cosimo Coscarella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capodichino's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosimo Coscarella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Urbani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Comunardo De Palma made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Edoardo Terenzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capodichino and the Costabissara players grew even worse after the yellow card. Costabissara's Beppe Fabrizio got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Manzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo De Palma in the 57th minute of play. Cosimo Coscarella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Capodichino had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
