Fulvio Di Vincenzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmine Marchetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Vinci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Dino Nazzaro tried in the 53rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Carmine Marchetti a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-1. When Franco Rosi fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pigozzo's protests and gave Franco Rosi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pigozzo's Franco Rosi got a free kick in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulvio Di Vincenzo got free with Carmine Marchetti in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto De Sanctis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Marinacci having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Villa Oneto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Rosi came free, but Aldo Marinacci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
