Ciccio Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Ricciuti in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute Antonio Banana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Selvaggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Pascucci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Selvaggi was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute, Antonio Banana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Spitaleri charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Spitaleri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Marina Di Palidoro getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. In the 64th match minute, Billiemme AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Tocchetto to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Achille Speranza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Alexander Ricciuti put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ciccio Basso. Franco Selvaggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Pascucci in the 76th minute of the match. Antonio Banana might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franco Selvaggi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Banana ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Francesco Di Sante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billiemme AFC's Ciccio Basso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Conte in the 94th minute of play. Billiemme AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
