When Dennis Riccitelli fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marina Di Palidoro's protests and gave Dennis Riccitelli a yellow card for diving instead. Dennis Riccitelli hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marina Di Palidoro's zone, Amedeo Di Rado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Selvaggi came out of the goal and Amedeo Di Rado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marina Di Palidoro were furious when Achille Montanari was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marina Di Palidoro! The goalkeeper, Franco Selvaggi, was totally fooled by Santa Nicola's Bruno Zangari, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Elia Rocchetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Serafini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Alberigo Giusto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Serafini hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Bruno Zangari notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Marina Di Palidoro's Franco Selvaggi. Franco Selvaggi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dino Macchia kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Marina Di Palidoro's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Zangari came free, but Franco Selvaggi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Nicola's Bruno Zangari got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Marina Di Palidoro's goalkeeper Franco Selvaggi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberigo Giusto. When Bruno Zangari came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Santa Nicola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Zangari couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Marina Di Palidoro got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Addari. If Bruno Zangari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Zangari made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Santa Nicola's goalkeeper Elia Rocchetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Serafini. In the 55th match minute, Santa Nicola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Pasquino to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Nicola's zone, Andrea Conte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elia Rocchetti came out of the goal and Andrea Conte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Bruno Zangari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Nicola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Zangari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franco Selvaggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Di Rado in the 63rd minute of the match. Bruno Zangari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Selvaggi having to interfere. Franco Selvaggi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Di Rado in the 67th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Santa Nicola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Spitaleri to maneuver through the defense. If Bruno Zangari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Zangari in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Selvaggi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marina Di Palidoro's Franco Selvaggi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Zangari in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Bruno Zangari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Selvaggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Zangari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Franco Selvaggi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amedeo Di Rado might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franco Selvaggi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amedeo Di Rado ran back to his position shaking his head.
