The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Sergi got free with Ferdinando Nola in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paggi FC's Enzo Ferrara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Polito in the 11th minute of play. When Diego Franzioni fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paparotti's protests and gave Diego Franzioni a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Paparotti getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Diego Franzioni hit a great ball. With a little luck, Paparotti's Ferdinando Nola got control of the ball when Cristiano Sergi tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 15 in the game by Cristiano Sergi from a close distance when the talented Ferdinando Nola managed to make a qualified save. Paparotti's players were relieved. Ernesto Pesce charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Pesce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Paparotti got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Pesce. A collision led to Paggi FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Emanuele Silvi hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Arturo Reggianini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Emanuele Polito put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Enzo Ferrara. Paparotti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Alexander Cino scored to the left of an out of position Ferdinando Nola, making the score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Enzo Di Felice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paggi FC's Enzo Ferrara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Paggi FC from getting a goal against them. Enzo Ferrara made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Dave Chitarroni sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the match, Alexander Cino notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Paparotti's Ferdinando Nola. Ferdinando Nola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th minute Cristiano Sergi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinando Nola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Paparotti's Enzo Ferrara threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emanuele Polito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Enzo Ferrara made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Dave Chitarroni sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 96 minutes, Alexander Cino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paggi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Cino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paparotti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
