The Gerno FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Attilio Marzulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Bonanni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlo Pennetta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenico Macchione in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domenico Macchione in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlo Pennetta saved Gerno FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Montagna got free with Carlo Pennetta in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Anselmo Bonanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Bonanni in the 25th minute of play forced Pianura FC's goalkeeper Attilio Marzulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Bruno Galdi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Attilio Marzulli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ercole Palomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Claudio Di Lorenzo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pianura FC's protests and gave Claudio Di Lorenzo a yellow card for diving instead. Domenico Macchione blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlo Pennetta having to make a save. Gerno FC's Carlo Pennetta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Gerno FC from getting a goal against them. The wind increased when Anselmo Bonanni made the kick off in the second half. Ciro De Fina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ercole Palomba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Marzulli having to interfere. Domenico Macchione fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Pennetta having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Ciro De Fina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Bonanni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domenico Macchione received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Carlo Pennetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ercole Palomba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Marzulli having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Alberto Ottavi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pianura FC and the Gerno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pianura FC's Alberto Ottavi got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Anselmo Bonanni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Bonanni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Attilio Marzulli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, Ciro Moriggi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gerno FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pianura FC the free kick. Ciro Moriggi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. A hard shot 93 in the game by Ercole Palomba from a close distance when the talented Attilio Marzulli managed to make a qualified save. Pianura FC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Pianura FC's zone, Anselmo Bonanni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Marzulli came out of the goal and Anselmo Bonanni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Gerno FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pianura FC.
