Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ciccio De Cristofaro got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Eugenio Rosini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Beppe Piola fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cesena AFC's protests and gave Beppe Piola a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cesena AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Beppe Piola hit a great ball. If Ciccio De Cristofaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesena AFC's Dario De Lorenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciccio De Cristofaro in the 27th minute of play. Ciccio De Cristofaro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Dario De Lorenzi 29 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Gambellara's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Vitucci came free, but Corrado Briganti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario De Lorenzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Orsini in the 40th minute. Fausto Rosato kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gambellara's goalkeeper Corrado Briganti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurelio Vitucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Briganti having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Vitucci was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Achille Di Girolamo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Corrado Briganti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Vitucci in the 54th minute of the match. Donato Trevisani kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ciccio De Cristofaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario De Lorenzi having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Gambellara's Aurelio Corsi got a free kick in the 74th minute. Corrado Briganti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Vitucci in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Gambellara's goalkeeper Corrado Briganti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Achille Di Girolamo. Achille Di Girolamo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 minutes of play Gambellara's Donato Trevisani was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 92 played minutes Gambellara got a freekick which was hit by Donato Trevisani. 2-3 became the score in the 94th minute when Aurelio Vitucci elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Corrado Briganti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Achille Di Girolamo in the 97th minute. The Gambellara supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cesena AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cesena AFC.
