The audience thought a goal was coming when Davide Sivieri got free with Ermanno Maurizi in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ortì's Demetrio Gallo got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 19 played minutes, Amata AFC's Carter Lavatrice shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damiano Ruzzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amata AFC reached it. If Davide Sivieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. Armin Silvi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermanno Maurizi having to interfere. The supporters of Ortì booed when Amata AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Sabatino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ortì's Bernardo Spadoni couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Amata AFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armin Silvi in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermanno Maurizi saved Amata AFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Mauro in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Ruzzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
