The supporters of Spirito Vincente booed when Rossetta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Salvagnin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute of the match Concetto Festa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florian Palombi skillfully saved the ball. Florian Palombi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Proietto's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Spirito Vincente's Federico Benarrivo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Fortuna in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Spirito Vincente's Demetrio Adriano got a free kick in the 17th minute. Alfonso Proietto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Spirito Vincente's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 21 minutes into the game, Demetrio Adriano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Proietto in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florian Palombi saved Rossetta from getting behind. Federico Benarrivo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Sardella in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Rossetta got a corner. Spirito Vincente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eraldo Di Pasquale ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dennis Rosi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 37 played minutes Rossetta got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Giampietro. Alfonso Proietto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Demetrio Adriano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florian Palombi. That made the score 4-0 in the 40 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Alfonso Proietto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Florian Palombi, passed just outside the right post. In the 47th minute Alfonso Proietto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Palombi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Proietto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florian Palombi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute, Demetrio Adriano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Palombi was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. If Eraldo Malatesta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Spirito Vincente fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Spirito Vincente's Alfonso Proietto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
