Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elia Mussi started the match with the kick off. When Fabiano Grifoni came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Torre A Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Grifoni couldn't finish the play. After 13 minutes, Cristiano Di Virgilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torre A Mare and the Cartagenova FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Di Virgilio kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Alberigo Granati sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Torre A Mare's Beppe Pavlu didn't even have to move. The supporters of Cartagenova FC booed when Torre A Mare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Fata didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Franceschelli in the 19th minute of play forced Torre A Mare's goalkeeper Beppe Pavlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Fabiano Grifoni could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Achille Caccavale however easily saved by the left post. Ferruccio Ronconi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Beppe Pavlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Dino Di Marino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torre A Mare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cartagenova FC the free kick. Dino Di Marino kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Alberigo Granati sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Torre A Mare's Beppe Pavlu didn't even have to move. Ferruccio Ronconi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beppe Pavlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Ferruccio Ronconi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabiano Franceschelli hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Grifoni got free with Achille Caccavale in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Ferruccio Ronconi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beppe Pavlu was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Achille Caccavale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabiano Grifoni in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ferruccio Ronconi made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Fabiano Grifoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Caccavale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elia Mussi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Caccavale having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Ferruccio Ronconi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartagenova FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferruccio Ronconi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Cartagenova FC defense, Fabiano Grifoni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Achille Caccavale. The Cartagenova FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Achille Caccavale should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Cartagenova FC's zone, Elia Mussi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Caccavale came out of the goal and Elia Mussi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Cartagenova FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Brandini. Elia Mussi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Torre A Mare getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Dino Di Marino hit a great ball. In the 75th minute of the match Alberigo Granati sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beppe Pavlu skillfully saved the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Bruno Flamini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Achille Caccavale skillfully saved the ball. Fabiano Grifoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achille Caccavale having to interfere. Ferruccio Ronconi struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Beppe Pavlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cartagenova FC. After 92nd play minutes Ferruccio Ronconi shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Beppe Pavlu and just under the crossbar into goal. Torre A Mare walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
