The tension between the Maris FC and the Poggio players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Maris FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Anthony Grilli hit a great ball. Franco Milanese was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alex Gava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Poggio getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Adriano Primavera hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Maris FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Gava came free, but Beppe Grasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arturo Piscitelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Nazzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Attilio Pietrangelo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Arturo Piscitelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Nazzaro in the 27th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Poggio's Alex Gava nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beppe Grasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Camillo Nazzaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Donato Campese cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Arturo Piscitelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Camillo Nazzaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alex Gava made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Maris FC's zone, Antonello Di Febo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Grasso came out of the goal and Antonello Di Febo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the game, Alessio Losito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poggio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maris FC the free kick. The referee gave Maris FC a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emilio Colella, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Poggio's Arturo Piscitelli. 2-2. 66 minutes into the match, Maris FC's goalkeeper Beppe Grasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonello Di Febo. After a defensive mix-up in Poggio's zone, Donato Campese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Piscitelli came out of the goal and Donato Campese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonello Di Febo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Beppe Grasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonello Di Febo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Beppe Grasso made a huge save. Anthony Grilli kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Antonello Di Febo scored 2-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beppe Grasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Beppe Grasso made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Antonello Di Febo sent off a good shot on target. Donato Campese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Arturo Piscitelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poggio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
