Anthony Di Girolamo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 18 minutes in the game Claudio Della Francesca did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Bernardo Walcher. Enzo Alleva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ercole Serantoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Walcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercole Serantoni having to interfere. After 32 played minutes SIGH got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinando Damiani. Anthony Di Girolamo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrizio Mariano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Ferruccio Leoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anthony Di Girolamo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Anthony Di Girolamo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Leoni in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Beppe Di Fonzo charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beppe Di Fonzo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ercole Serantoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Walcher in the 67th minute of play. Anthony Di Girolamo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven Widberg in the 70th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Sven Widberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anthony Di Girolamo, 0-5. Reggina Calcio's attentive Szczepan Kaider managed to snatch the ball when Claudio Della Francesca made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Anthony Di Girolamo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrizio Mariano, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Reggina Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnaba Naskrent to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Reggina Calcio walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
