The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Fabrizio Diana put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Sucangann:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezia:s goal. Carlo Bardella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Odisio in the 14th minute. A collision led to Sucangann getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Federico Romano hit a great ball. Beppe Chiarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Marzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Amerigo Marzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beppe Chiarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele De Nardis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amerigo Marzo in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beppe Chiarelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezia's Donato Malatesta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlo Bardella. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. Sucangann's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Claudio Odisio scored to the left of an out of position Carlo Bardella, making the score, 3-0. Amerigo Marzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Chiarelli having to interfere. Claudio Odisio came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlo Bardella could save by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 50 minutes of play Venezia's Frank Guerra was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 51st match minute, Venezia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Federico Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Sucangann's Amerigo Marzo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Sucangann's Federico Romano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beppe Chiarelli. That made the score 3-3 after 65 minutes of play. Beppe Chiarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Marzo in the 71st minute of the match. Federico Romano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Sucangann booed when Venezia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Malatesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Aldo Rava sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beppe Chiarelli skillfully saved the ball. Fedele De Nardis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Chiarelli having to interfere. Amerigo Marzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Chiarelli having to interfere. Claudio Odisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 83 minutes, Daniele Locatelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sucangann and the Venezia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Sucangann was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Locatelli to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Odisio during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Venezia got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Odisio. If Alessio Conforti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Venezia's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Marzo came free, but Beppe Chiarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sucangann had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
