After a defensive mix-up in Sucangann's zone, Davide Cavaliere stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Bardella came out of the goal and Davide Cavaliere tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Emiliano Capobianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes Sucangann got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Locatelli. In the 16th minute Amerigo Marzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Schirru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davide Cavaliere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carlo Bardella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Schirru made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Aldo Rava sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Apocalypto's Emiliano Capobianco got a free kick in the 27th minute. Aldo Rava recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Chico Paulista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sucangann's Carlo Bardella was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute Arturo Munno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Bardella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sucangann booed when Apocalypto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Munno didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Capobianco in the 41st minute of play forced Sucangann's goalkeeper Carlo Bardella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apocalypto's Eugenio Schirru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Marzo in the 42nd minute of play. When Fedele De Nardis came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sucangann fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele De Nardis couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Apocalypto's Eugenio Schirru got control of the ball when Fedele De Nardis tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The wind increased when Davide Cavaliere made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Munno in the 53rd minute of play forced Sucangann's goalkeeper Carlo Bardella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th match minute, Apocalypto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Munno to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Armando Pasquarelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 58 minutes, Amerigo Marzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sucangann's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amerigo Marzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Apocalypto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Capobianco to maneuver through the defense. Federico Romano's late challenge caught a Apocalypto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Romano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Federico Romano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes of play, Sucangann's Amerigo Marzo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Schirru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amerigo Marzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Schirru having to interfere. Davide Cavaliere could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Carlo Bardella made a huge save. A collision led to Sucangann getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Federico Romano hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Aldo Rava managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sucangann's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Rava was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Francesco Baruffa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlo Bardella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Sucangann got a freekick which was hit by Federico Romano.
