Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alfredo Fontana made the kick off and thus started the match. Alfredo Barillari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Pomponio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Dave Pasquarelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Daniele Puglielli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anthony Pedroni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute of the match, Pedro Caeiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anthony Pedroni was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 19 minutes into the match, Pedro Caeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anthony Pedroni. San Damaso AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Caeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Alfredo Barillari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Fontana in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Bergamini in the 25th minute of play forced Borbiago's goalkeeper Alfredo Barillari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Borbiago's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Cocca came free, but Alfredo Barillari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferdinando Lemme hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Alfredo Barillari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armin Bergamini went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in San Damaso AFC's zone, Ermanno Cavallucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Pedroni came out of the goal and Ermanno Cavallucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anthony Pedroni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Cavallucci in the 38th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Beppe Cocca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Barillari was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermanno Cavallucci was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Dave Pasquarelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Damaso AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borbiago the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Damaso AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! In the 59th minute, Borbiago's Ferdinando Lemme seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ferdinando Lemme the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Borbiago protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ferdinando Lemme had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Borbiago fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! After 65 played minutes San Damaso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Armin Bergamini. In the 71st minute, Daniele Puglielli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borbiago's Alfredo Barillari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Borbiago from getting a goal against them. Dave Pasquarelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Caeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Pedroni having to interfere. In the 88th minute Alfredo Fontana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Barillari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alfredo Fontana came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the San Damaso AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Fontana couldn't finish the play. Carter Piano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Pedroni having to interfere. Pedro Caeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. San Damaso AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
