After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Alberigo Verna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grugliasco's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberigo Verna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Bolognesi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Ercole Trombetta managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when VERDENA FC's Amerigo Locatelli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Grugliasco's Stratos Papandreou in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achille Palone in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enzo Bolognesi saved VERDENA FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Palone in the 26th minute of play forced VERDENA FC's goalkeeper Enzo Bolognesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grugliasco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Achille Palone in the 27th minute. Achille Palone made a great header on Grugliasco's corner, it was just that VERDENA FC's Enzo Bolognesi managed to reach the ball for a save. Grugliasco's Ercole Trombetta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Raiola in the 28th minute of play. Ercole Trombetta came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by VERDENA FC's Alberto Raiola. But to his dismay, Alberto Raiola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Grugliasco's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Raiola came free, but Ercole Trombetta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Achille Palone in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enzo Bolognesi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grugliasco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. VERDENA FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Enzo Bolognesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stratos Papandreou in the 37th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amerigo Locatelli made a kick off. In the 55th minute Amerigo Locatelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Trombetta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Grugliasco's Achille Palone slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enzo Bolognesi. That made the score 1-2 after 62 minutes of play. Grugliasco's Ercole Trombetta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Hanin in the 66th minute of play. Grugliasco's Bruno Di Cintio was substituted for Stratos Papandreou. With a little luck, VERDENA FC's Enzo Bolognesi got control of the ball when Felipe Quinteros tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Bruno Di Cintio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 92nd play minutes Bruno Di Cintio shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Enzo Bolognesi and just under the crossbar into goal. The Grugliasco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grugliasco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
