Verbano FC's Attilio Marzoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Di Carlo in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Andrea Di Carlo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Segesta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrea Di Carlo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Attilio Marzoli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrea Di Carlo was the one to do the kick off. Andrea Di Carlo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Attilio Marzoli made a huge save. Verbano FC's Attilio Marzoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Verbano FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Verbano FC's Attilio Marzoli got control of the ball when Andrea Di Carlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrea Di Carlo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Marzoli having to make a save.
