After a rather tough play, Tempest Team's Donato Santalucia got a free kick in the 19th minute. With an all-out effort, ternana calcio fc's Anibal Celino threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alvaro Punta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Amerigo Pugliese received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anibal Celino came out and tried to block the shot, but Amerigo Pugliese slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the ternana calcio fc defense, Alfonso Bolognesi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aureliusz Podolski. The ternana calcio fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aureliusz Podolski should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Petroni was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Amerigo Pugliese got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Alvaro Punta sped through Tempest Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anibal Celino. Alvaro Punta took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Celino. Anibal Celino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Punta in the 94th minute of play forced Tempest Team's goalkeeper Anibal Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ternana calcio fc were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
