Bertrán Olguín could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Gustaf Albohm made a huge save. 19 minutes into the game, Gladiator FC's Antonio Lovera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dennis Carrea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 25 minutes into the game, Bertrán Olguín recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gustaf Albohm. Bertrán Olguín showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 31 minutes into the match, Vaffancalcio's goal looked a bit too open when Vaggelis Mitsiou came free, but Dennis Carrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Maxi Kon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Gladiator FC's Gustaf Albohm got control of the ball when Bertrán Olguín tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dennis Carrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Taranto in the 40th minute of the match. Dennis Carrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaggelis Mitsiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gladiator FC booed when Vaffancalcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Colucci didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Taranto got free with Dennis Carrea in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaf Albohm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Răducan in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Di Clemente in the 85th minute of play forced Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Gustaf Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
