In the 3rd minute, József Kun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Richárd Puja fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garbolc VSC's protests and gave Richárd Puja a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Garbolc VSC got a freekick which was hit by Richárd Puja. Yasen Mandane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renátó Nyíri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Garbolc VSC's Renátó Nyíri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasen Mandane in the 24th minute of play. József Kun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Nottingham Forest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Sarkady to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th match minute, Garbolc VSC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Kun to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper Simon Zombori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. József Kun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Zombori having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ervin Sarkady to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Yasen Mandane took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Renátó Nyíri to make any attempt to save it. József Kun took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Zombori. Simon Zombori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 80 minutes, József Kun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garbolc VSC and the Nottingham Forest players grew even worse after the yellow card. József Kun hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Nottingham Forest's Ervin Sarkady got a free kick in the 81st minute. Garbolc VSC's Renátó Nyíri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Garbolc VSC from getting a goal against them. After 87 played minutes Garbolc VSC got a freekick which was hit by Richárd Balla. Simon Zombori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Gergely Újváry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
