Tamás Nyíri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emánuel Bodor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferenc Solti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Csaba Bencik in the 12th minute of play. Ferenc Solti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miklós Lázár in the 16th minute. If Miklós Lázár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Csaba Bencik in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 66th minute, Szabolcs Kocsis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miklós Lázár sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
